  • depression vs. anxiety and when to get help

  • physical effects of self-harm

  • narrative therapy approach: the power of the stories we have about ourselves

"How Parents Can Help Their Teens"

​

We will be learning how parents can assist their hurting teenagers, including:

​

  • how parents can recognize mental illness in their children

  • how to differentiate between moodiness and clinical depression

  • things teens may do or say that are warning signs

  • ways for parents to help their teens

  • places for parents to get help for their teens

"Help for the Currently Struggling"

​

For anyone, regardless of age, who is fighting a battle with their own minds right now. We will be discussing:

​

  • ways for individuals to cope with negative self-talk and self-worth

  • the fact that people are allowed to feel what they are feeling

  • ways that they can seek help

"How Teens Can Help Their Friends"

​

We will speaking directly to teens, and learning how teens can help their struggling friends, including:

 

  • warning signs

  • when a teen should get help for their friend

  • who a teen should go to for help

  • ways a teen can be a better friend to a struggling peer
